BACKGROUND
Shure needed a Counter Top Display to show their line of Sound Isolating Earphones at Independent music stores. But unlike in the past, they wanted the consumer to able to demo the earphones with their own music device. They were afraid that consumers would not want to use the earphones if another person had used them.
EXECUTION
We designed a display that was backlit to help showcase the earphones. The consumer can plug their phone in to a cord that comes out of the front of the display to listen to their music. The earphones can be pulled out a short distance to make it more comfortable for the consumer and then easily slid back into the display to prevent tangling the cords. Also included was a small draw on the back that housed addition earphone sleeves so he store personnel could install new ones on the earphones when a consumer wanted to demo them.
RESULTS
Shure reported that the retailers love the display and are selling more earphones then they ever have now that the consumer can hear the difference.
